Founding Moments
How Our Mountain Bike Journey Began
The mountain bike department was founded in 2008 with the aim of introducing children and young people to mountain bike cross-country sport.
From then on, the department experienced steady growth.
Currently, around 30 children and young people aged 8 and over train regularly.
Endurance and dexterity are trained on the bike.
First race on April 20, 2008 in Bayreuth with Lukas Ziegmann, Felix Weber, Linus Tscharke and Kilian Tscharke.
GROWTH & COMPETITION
From Skill Training to Racing Success
In skill training, the aim is to overcome given obstacles as error-free as possible, ie without touching the ground with the foot. Participation in the CUBE-Cup racing series, which currently consists of 11 races in Upper Franconia, One of these races has been held annually in Scheßlitz since 2009. We also take part in Bavarian Championships and the MTB Bavaria League.
In addition to competitive sports, the community spirit is also not neglected. The annual family outing enjoys a large number of participants.
